Matt Katsis

Matt Katsis is a Melbourne-based musician whose roots in blues, folk, and singer-songwriter tradition have resonated across Australia for over a decade. From his early days busking in the vibrant streets and markets of his hometown, Matt has grown into a captivating performer, celebrated for both delicate folk ballads and foot-stomping slide guitar swagger. With over 20 years of guitar experience, he has graced stages at renowned festivals like Kiama Jazz & Blues and Illawarra Folk, sharing the spotlight with Australian music legends. A notable highlight was his 2014 win at the Bruthen Blues Festival’s International Musician's Challenge, leading to performances in Oregon and the 2016 success of his EP, “The Burke & Wills Sessions.” His distinctive fusion of styles continues to evolve, most recently showcased in his retrospective studio album, “Over The Horizon,” released in late 2021.
