The most profound moments of connection, of dopamine, and of what it truly means to be human are often overlooked in our daily lives. Kent Dustin delves into this theme through his music, crafting heartfelt indie-pop and country-folk soundscapes that inspire others to discover beauty in the ordinary, embrace optimism, and cultivate a life enriched by ‘little moments.’
“I believe we get one shot at this life, and too often we spend our time on things that don’t truly celebrate what it means to be human. Whether it’s a flirty interaction that makes your heart race, waking up with gratitude for the good, or trusting someone again after previous hurt—these moments matter. If my writing helps people see and cherish those little moments, then I’m doing my part as an artist.”
Drawing inspiration from artists like Ziggy Alberts, Gregory Alan Isakov, Bob Dylan, Zach Bryan, and Dermot Kennedy, Kent Dustin’s upcoming music reflects a deeper connection to country roots and storytelling. His new sound is a blend of heartfelt melodies and poetic lyrics, rooted in a country-folk tradition, yet fresh and authentic.
His forthcoming EP, Deeper Roots, exemplifies this evolution—raw, acoustic, and deeply personal. Following his February single, "Closer To You," Kent is set to release on July 18th, his new single "Lose A Little To Love" which will be included on the EP, exploring themes of love, home, and bittersweet moments.
Past and future works have been written with and produced by Robby De Sa, Nick Zaharias, Luke Palmer, and Benny D Williams, and developed, and performed by Kent Tonscheck (soloist, singer-songwriter, guitar, looping), the project is set to inspire and connect in 2025 and beyond.
